Early in 2013, a few faith communities came together and asked the question “Why aren’t we walking together in the Baltimore PRIDE parade?” We responded, “Let’s do it!” and we have been walking every year since. Walking behind our collective banner, “Faith Communities of Baltimore With Pride”, our annual marchers represent their Faith communities.
While we began as an ecumenical group, we have intentionally become a vibrant interfaith coalition, where we affirm and celebrate the diversity of our members. It has been our objective to partner and collaborate with groups that share our commitment to the LGBTQ+ community. Each year we support and participate in various programs that impact the LGBTQ+ community such as the National Coming Out Day, Transgender Day of Remembrance, World AIDS Day, and other community events.
